ALBVR's Rental Policies
Please review Alabama Beach Vacation Rentals' policies. We will be happy to answer any questions or special requests that you may have. As well, many questions may be addressed on our FAQ page. We look forward to having you stay with us!
Reservation Deposit: A reservation deposit of $200 of the rental amount is due and payable upon making a reservation. You may pay your reservation deposit via VISA, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. If deposit is paid by check, ALBVR must receive check within ten (10) days of making said reservation. If check has not been received within ten (10) days, such reservation will automatically be cancelled.
Rental Payment: Full rental payment shall be due and payable thirty (30) days in advance of check-in date. If a last minute reservation is made (within 30 days of arrival date), the total amount shall be paid by credit card or cashier's check, no checks will be accepted.
Cancellations/Rescheduling: We require at least a 30-day cancellation notice for condominium rentals and at least a 60-day cancellation notice for home rentals prior to your arrival date. Monthly rentals require at least a 90-day cancellation notice. If less than required notice is given, the entire rental amount will be held for lost rent, unless the unit is rebooked for the same amount and rental period. If notice is given within the cancellation period, the reservation deposit less a $35.00 reservation fee shall be returned, with no exceptions. Sorry, there are no refunds for late arrival or early departure, regardless of circumstance. The same rules and timeframes apply to date changes for reservations.
Hurricane Cancellations: ALBVR offers travel insurance through TravelGuard and recommends that you purchase coverage if you have concerns about your travel plans. The TravelGuard policy supercedes any and every other policy that ALBVR has in regards to weather-related cancellations. With that said, ALBVR will refund any portion of your stay if you have to cancel or evacuate due to a mandatory evacuation of our community due to an impending hurricane. Any refunds will be prorated, based on the time that you have spent in the property.
Check-In: Check-in time begins at 3:00 PM CST. ALBVR may offer a priority arrival time at a nominal fee if you would like to check in early. Please contact ALBVR for more details. Check-in instructions and details will be sent to you, via e-mail, seven (7) days in advance of your arrival date. Please contact us if you have not received your check-in procedures a week prior to your stay.
Check-Out: Check-out by 10:00 AM CST. Please abide the check-out time. The late check-out charge is $100 per hour (or fraction thereof) after 10 AM, CST.
Security Deposit Protection Plan: Security deposit protection plans vary by property and cover accidental damages that may occur during your stay. Departure Cleaning: We will have the unit cleaned upon your departure. Still, you are responsible for cleaning and putting away all dishes and disposal of all trash, including refrigerator and freezer items. Finally, please place all dirty linens on the floor. Specific charges for lost or damaged linens are detailed below.
Linens/Supplies: All properties will have 200+ thread count, 100% Egyptian cotton sheet sets and 100% Egyptian cotton type towel sets (sleeper sofas, futons and bunk beds do not have Egyptian cotton sheets). Bed linens and bath towels are not changed during your stay. There is a washer and dryer in the property for this purpose. The startup set of bath soap, toilet tissue, trash bag and dishwasher detergent are not replenished. Missing or damaged linens and towels will be billed against the security deposit protection plan. Removing makeup with towels, washcloths, etc. may cause stains that cannot be removed, as well, blood stains on the sheets are also considered irreparable damage that will be charged against the security deposit protection plan. The following charges will apply: King sheet sets: $40. Queen sheet sets: $30. Full and Twin sheet sets: $20. Bath Towels: $10. Hand Towels: $5. Washcloths, kitchen towels and dish rags: $3. Sheets are charged by the set. Mattress cover replacement is $20 per king, $15 per queen and $10 for full/twin. Pillow replacement is $15 per king pillow and $10 for all other sizes. Soiled comforters and rugs that require laundering will incur the following charges: King comforter: $90. Queen comforter: $80. Full comforter: $70. Twin comforter: $60. Blankets: $35. Large Rugs: $40. Small Rugs: $30.
Keys to Property: In most properties, you will receive two (2) sets of keys via a secure lock box. Upon departure, please leave one set of keys on the kitchen counter and the second set in the lockbox. If both sets are not left upon departure you will be charged $20 for each lost key. If your unit does not have a lock box system, your check-in procedures will specify how you will receive/attain the keys for your stay.
Parking: Parking varies by property, please see property listing. Please no boats, trailers or RVs.
Rental Periods: The rental periods vary by property, see property listing. Some properties accept daily, weekly and monthly rentals.
Rental Occupancy: The number of people allowed to reside in the property varies by property and shall not be exceeded, please refer to property listing. No house parties are allowed. Singles must be 25 years of age or older. A parent must accompany singles younger than 25 years of age*. All rules and regulations at each property must be strictly observed. Any reservation made under false pretenses will result in forfeiture of advance payments and the party will not be permitted to check-in or may be forced to evacuate property immediately and no refund will be issued. *Identification must be furnished upon request.
Quiet Enjoyment: Guests shall respect the surrounding accommodations and maintain a quiet environment. If you are reported to being disruptive, you may be forced to evacuate and will result in forfeiture of advance payments.
Damages: Each guest will be financially responsible for damage done to the property beyond normal wear and tear.
Furnishings: Please do not transfer furnishings from one property to another. Also, please do not rearrange furniture during your stay. Loss to these items, as well as damage to the unit or furnishings in excess of normal wear will be charged to the guest. If you require special appliances or equipment, please bring them with you.
Maintenance: Please report any malfunctioning equipment or damage immediately to ALBVR. Every effort will be made to correct the situation as soon as possible. The repairman may enter the premises for purposes related to the repair or maintenance of the property. Basic equipment can be found in the condo (i.e., toilet plungers, light bulbs).
Grilling: Fire Department regulations prohibit use of grills on all decks, porches and balconies. Some properties have areas for grilling, refer to property listing.
Pets: Sorry, no pets are allowed. A pet or evidence of a pet found on premises will cause forfeiture of entire rent.
Smoking: No smoking is allowed inside the property. Evidence of smoking inside the premises will cause forfeiture of entire rent, plus any additional damage the smoke may have caused. If you need to smoke, go outside and make sure all the doors are shut to the unit.
Fireworks: Fireworks are strictly prohibited by law at all properties.
Firearms: Firearms are prohibited at all facilities.
No Guarantees: Working condition of pools, hot tubs, air conditioners, cable, phones, internet service, TVs, VCRs, DVDs, appliances, elevators, etc., are NOT guaranteed. No guarantee that pools will be heated. NO REFUNDS or rate adjustments will be made for mechanical failures and malfunctioning equipment. These amenities are extras provided in addition to the beach house or condominium rental. Although all attempts will be made to correct the situation, some breakdowns cannot be prevented or repaired during your occupancy. |
